First Show of the Year - 2026
Doing our first comic convention of the year in Pryor, Oklahoma was a fantastic way to kick off the show season. There’s nothing quite like being back on the convention floor, talking with passionate collectors, digging through long boxes, and helping fans track down the key issues, vintage comic books, and hard-to-find back issues they’ve been searching for. Shows like this remind us why the comic book collecting community is so special—everyone from longtime collectors to new fans sharing their love for Marvel, DC, independent comics, and classic bronze and silver age books.
One of the best parts of attending conventions is helping collectors complete runs, discover key issues, and add investment-grade comics to their collections. Whether someone is searching for a missing issue of their favorite series or looking for rare collectible comics, we love being part of the hunt. The Pryor show brought out a great crowd of collectors, and it was awesome connecting with people who are just as excited about comic book collecting, grading, and investing in comics as we are.
As always, we’re also actively buying comic book collections. If you’re looking to sell comics or have a collection you’re thinking about parting with, we’re always interested in taking a look. We regularly buy single issues, key comics, vintage collections, and large comic book lots.

Underground Comics
Underground comics are one of the most exciting corners of the comic book collecting world. From the raw, counterculture energy of artists like Robert Crumb to the boundary-pushing satire of Gilbert Shelton, underground comix changed the landscape of independent comics forever. These small-press, often controversial books from the 1960s and 1970s remain highly collectible today, especially first printings and low-distribution titles.
For collectors in Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, and Overland Park, underground comic collecting offers serious opportunities. Demand for vintage underground comix, alternative comics, indie graphic novels, and rare first appearances continues to grow. Key issues featuring titles like Zap Comix, The Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers, and other underground classics are especially sought after in the Midwest comic market.
If you’re searching for rare comics, vintage comic books, underground comix, or high-value key issues, now is a great time to dig into collections. We are always buying comics — whether you have a single rare underground issue or an entire comic book collection. We proudly serve collectors throughout Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, and Overland Park, offering fair evaluations and competitive prices.

Smart Comic Book Storage Tips for Collectors in Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, and Olathe
Keeping your comic book collection in top condition is essential—especially for collectors focused on buying comics, upgrading key issues, and preserving long-term value. Whether you're hunting for Bronze Age classics in Lawrence, grabbing variants around Topeka, or expanding your pull list in Kansas City or Olathe, proper storage can make all the difference.
Start with acid-free bags and boards to prevent yellowing and moisture damage. Short boxes are ideal for organizing and protecting issues without the weight strain of long boxes. For higher-value comics, consider mylar sleeves and full-back boards for premium, archival-quality protection. Keep your collection in a cool, dry area—avoiding basements, attics, and direct sunlight—to maintain the condition collectors look for when buying comics or trading for key issues.
Whether you're a casual fan or a serious collector building your next big haul, smart storage keeps your comics safe, organized, and ready for the next great find across Lawrence, Topeka, Kansas City, and Olathe.
